Ultrasonic Immersion Testing (Immersion UT) for Shell Bodies and Base Plugs

Advanced ultrasonic immersion testing systems are offered for the non-destructive inspection of large-caliber military projectile bodies and base plugs. The system enables high-precision detection of both surface and internal defects, including discontinuities within the material.

Thanks to the robotic part handling system and automated conveyor infrastructure, components are fed into the system safely and efficiently. After the inspection process is completed, parts are automatically sorted according to acceptance or rejection status. Inspections performed within the ultrasonic immersion tank provide highly repeatable and reliable results through the use of fixtures designed according to part geometry and advanced control software.

All operations are carried out under computer control, minimizing the need for operator intervention. The system is also equipped with protective guarding designed in accordance with industrial safety standards.
