Portable magnetic generators are mobile power units designed for Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) in field applications. They enable reliable inspection of large, heavy, or fixed components that cannot be moved to a stationary inspection bench.
These units provide flexible, on-site magnetization for MPI testing where conventional bench systems are not practical.
Portable or wheeled configurations
Suitable for large structures and in-situ inspections
Quick setup and easy operation in field conditions
Ideal for on-site magnetic particle inspection of heavy or non-movable components.
Working Principle
Portable MPI generators create a strong magnetic field in the test piece using high current:
Direct current flow (prods or cables)
Coil method (cable wrapping around the part)
Adaptable accessories (coils, flexible cables, mandrels) for various geometries
This allows effective detection of surface and near-surface defects.
